The stand out visual in this area though is the balance that is continued with two truly huge and truly unusual curved section sofas that sweep around the space in a semi-circle and ensure no-one in the group who settles down to relax here gets left out of the conversation. The sitting room on the other side of the central stairs within this open-plan area is another incredible space, with visually pleasing balance introduced via windows either side of a central fireplace. The dining area is spacious, allowing at least ten guests to sit and socialise at the long table, but there's room for more if you want to extend the dinner invitation.
